Imaginary Authors is born from the concept of scent as art and art as provocation. Like a good book, these scents are meant to inspire you. In these bottles are layered narratives that are sure to generate stirring conversation, fragrances that might be capable of changing the course of your own personal story. The hope is that they not only invigorate and intoxicate, but also take you to new places. Each Imaginary Authors fragrance follows a compelling story line peppered with intriguing twists. These are scents to curl up with, to share with friends, to take with you wherever you go, and to return to again and again for a uniquely transcendent experience. Sundrunk Synopsis When Clementine Cope set foot in snow deeper than her knees, she knew it was for the last time. Leaving the rural Montana home she’d been raised in, with no plans other than to follow the setting sun, she’d wake up every morning and head towards the warmth; dreaming of Dennis Wilson, push pops in the sand, and convertibles. Her journey covers thousands of miles and delivers her first-ever view of the ocean. By the time summer hits, Clem is consumed by an incomprehensible joy. She finally stops traveling when she settles into a ramshackle surf camp with newfound friends from the hills of Topanga, California. Now realizing for the first time her journey is only beginning. Notes Neroli Rhubarb Honeysuckle Rose Water Orange Zest First Kiss Eau de Parfum Unisex Spray The obvious choice is to plunge into this scent at the peak of summer, allowing the cool citrus to wash your worries away. Less obvious is to douse yourself in the darker months, letting your skin soak up the sun and radiate it outward when it matters most. Vegan Cruelty-free Unisex Fragrance No Parabens and Phthalates Founded in 2012 by perfumer Josh Meyer Josh Meyer came to perfume via a love for all things exquisite – be it whiskey, literature, cuisine, cigars, or music – balanced with a strong aversion to pretentious over-extravagance. A discovery of niche perfumery sparked an unexpected passion, and he began his career as a perfumer in 2010. With his strong love of esoteric beauty, his enthusiasm for the field led him to seek out the finest raw materials from around the world. In his new laboratory, he further spent countless hours researching, re-working, refining and perfecting his unique approach to the craft. Now with a renowned brand, Imaginary Authors is well loved by perfume aficionados all over the world. Based in Portland, Oregon, Imaginary Authors hopes to garner a new market with intensely creative branding, high-concept ideas, and – of course – high quality fragrances. Josh Meyer spends most of his time in the lab, continuing his development as a perfumer.

I had my doubts when I say the creative packaging and the over the top description of the scent and story in the listing for “Sundrunk”. And I’ve been a Sedona Malone fanatic for years but I was intrigued by the top notes described . As a guy I’m don’t pay too much attention for whether a fragrance is “meant” for a man or woman. If I like it, I like it. I gave this a shot and it is A M A Z I N G!!! It is not flowery. It’s fresh with a twist. There scents in it that people notice but can’t identify. And that is exactly what I like. Hats off to Imaginary Authors. I’m a huge new fan!
