These are pretty easy to use. They open wide and have a tight hold the hair tightly. These are a little stiff to open and close, but I think this helps it to be more sturdy in the hair. However, if your hair is heavy or thick it will slide down after a short while. I think it held my hair for about an hour before it started slipping down significantly. But when I look up or something they dig in to my head.
